INFORMATION ABOUT FREE OF CHARGE LATVIAN LANGUAGE COURSES IN YEAR 2026

The list of organisations, that will receive financial support from Riga Municipality for implementation of the projects targeted at conducting free of charge Latvian language courses in 2026 will be published on the 12th of January 2026 on the website www.apkaimes.lv in the section “Integrācija”, subsection “Latviešu valodas kursi”.

The inhabitants of Riga will have to choose the educational institutions from the list provided and to apply there. Information about educational institutions can also be found by calling the municipality’s toll-free number 1201.

The aim of these courses is to help the adults to acquire Latvian language within level A and B. Pupils of schools and officially unemployed persons are not eligible for these courses. The courses are foreseen for the inhabitants who officially reside in Latvia and are registered in Riga.
